The Pantheon, one of the most impressive buildings in Rome, was rebuilt in A.D. 117-125 by Emperor Hadrian to replace an earlier temple designed by Agrippa in 27 B.C. The Pantheon was originally dedicated as a temple to all gods, hence the name.

The Seven Wonders of the World were described by Antipatros, a Greek historian, in the second century BC. None of them were Roman, but the Romans would have known about them. Only one survives today, one only lasted 54 years, and one may never have existed!
