The first goal of the Gruppo Storico Romano is to be a large warm family, and those who join us are always welcome and become friends and brothers, for us all… We are a research and re-enactment group based in Rome (Italy) specialising in recreating Ancient Roman armour, weaponry and memorabilia.

The significance of the II Parthian legion and the reign of Septimius Severus for the town of Albano is such that it gave rise to the idea of creating a study centre for this period of history approximately three years ago. Indeed this period, important as it may be for this particular locality, is important also within the study of Roman history in its own right.

The LEGIO I ITALICA of Villadose has been founded in 1996 upon an idea of Sandro Maragno, partner of GAV, to remember the legion recruited by the emperor Nerone in the 67 AD. The GAV or Archaeological Group of Villadose was born in 1988, with the primary objective to explore the territory and to census the present archaeological sites.

The home site of the Legio V Lucana based in Mediolanum. The Legio V Lucana (the name is purely invented) was founded in the year 2000 A.D. and is composed by roman reenactors enthusiasts. The group is young and it's looking for new members to organize cultural activity and entertainment.
